In a business career spanning over forty years, Mr. Hagen has developed numerous residential projects and provided marketing and economic consulting services to a wide range of international organizations including: Mitsubishi Corporation, Bechtel International, Harley Davidson, Brocket Hall, St Andrews Bay (now Fairmont St Andrews), Modern Continental Companies, Hughes Aircraft, NASA, In-Vision Communications and the Brighton Marina, England.

 

He served on the Nike Golf Player Staff from its inception in 2001 through program closure in 2007. He is a founder of the Friends of St Andrews which was established by the St Andrews Links Trust to assist in the preservation and maintenance of the historic golf courses at St Andrews, including the Old Course.


"Pebble Beach–the Novel" and "Chance Encounters", a memoir, are to be released in 2015 and 2016. "Brennan, Samson, Jinny & Me" which chronicles Mr. Hagen's recent triumph over prostate and colon cancers is in draft.

 

Mr. Hagen edited F. Michael Higginbotham’s critically acclaimed, Ghosts of Jim Crow-Ending Racism in Post-Racial America, New York University Press (2013). He also recently wrote an Afterword, to Nobel Laureate, Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s Foreword, for Charles Shannon Mallory’s, Other Roads Less Traveled (2014).
